Hey guys so this is my video showing you how to setup an EasyCap on your PS3, Wii, or Xbox 360 using the Composite AV Cables/S-Video cable. This runs through. As long as your computer meets all the system requirements all you have to do is load the included software, connect your Easycap from your VCR and plug into your USB port. It is a live recording so you do have to play through the whole footage of what you want to capture, but that is to be expected when going from analog to digital format.
Easy Capture is a free, but discontinued screen capture tool which can save its captured images as BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG or as TIFF images.
After installing Easy Capture, you will be able to take entire screen captures of your desktop or just of certain regions you define. Easy Capture is also able to create scrolling images of web pages if you desire.
- Many EasyCaps are not officially supported on Mac OS X. This page is for a port of an unofficial, reverse-engineered Linux driver. Many thanks to Ivor Hewitt for his great Linux version. This driver does not support the DC60+.
- The EasyCAP is a USB device with video and audio input sockets to capture and store video on your computer. First, you need to go get the driver for Mac OS X, and that can be obtained here. Installing the hardware is easy; just plug it into an available USB slot. This needs to be a powered slot, so no dumb USB 1.0 hubs will do.

Once a screen capture has been created, you can use the EasyCapture's editing functions to flip, rotate or resize the images. You may also apply hue, saturation, brightness and contrast modifications to the image or even apply filters like noise, emboss, posterize and more.
EasyCapture includes hotkey shortcuts and when not in use, sits quietly in the system tray.
Overall, Easy Capture is a useful, compact and free screen capture utility with several useful tools to modify captures.
